TikTok Cover Photos – How to Add Them

How do I add a TikTok cover photo?

TikTok just released a new feature allowing creators to add a cover photo to their videos before publishing them - similar to the reel cover photos on Instagram.

We know that TikTok has been trending more toward authenticity and underedited videos lately. And on TikTok, having an aesthetic feed didn’t really matter. We haven’t heard much feedback from the community yet but we’ll see if they like it or if the trend to stay away from cover photos remains.

If you want to try custom photo covers on TikTok out and have a more branded feed for your business, here’s how:

Steps to customize your TikTok cover photo

Step 1 : Tap 'Edit Cover'
Once your video is ready to post, tap edit cover.

Step 2 : Tap 'Upload'
Instead of having to choose a frame from your video, you can now tap Upload on the right to choose a photo from your library.

Step 3 : Customize Your Cover
Just like you could before, you can add text to your cover photo.

How do you feel about the update? Excited to brand your feed or annoyed that feeds may become less of a mess?
